This perfectly balanced combination unites the tranquility of the safari float with the majesty of one of Costa Rica’s most iconic waterfalls. The experience is designed to offer complementary contrasts: the silent observation of wildlife followed by the revitalizing energy of a 70-meter-high waterfall.
The first part of the adventure consists of the safari float on the Peñas Blancas River, where participants silently navigate on inflatable rafts while observing the rich riverside fauna. This morning activity takes advantage of the hours of greatest animal activity, when monkeys, sloths and birds are most active and visible.

After an energetic lunch with local ingredients, the adventure continues with a visit to La Fortuna Waterfall. The 500-meter downhill trail runs through secondary tropical forest with spectacular views of the Arenal Volcano. The waterfall, formed by the Fortuna River rushing from a volcanic rock face, creates a natural pool of crystal clear waters perfect for swimming.
At the base of the waterfall, visitors can swim in the refreshing waters, take spectacular photographs with the waterfall as a background, and enjoy the full sensory experience of the water falling hard. The area has basic facilities including dressing rooms and rest areas with panoramic views.
